BIO
Maryam Daneshvar (b.2001, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian experimental filmmaker. Through film, 3D animation, and painting she explores the experience and complexities of a human living in the 21st century—themes such as identity and personal data usage by social media apps and everyday life. In That’s Meta she brings attention to the Meta’s data collection by recreating a parody version of popular anti-piracy advertising from 2007 titled “Piracy is a crime”. In Dreams, a short film projection, she interviewed Parisians about their dreams and ambitions in life.
